Live Aid was one of the great humanitarian events of the 20th Century. 17 hours of Roc ‘n Roll was seen in over 110 countries, with over a billion viewers. It had over 40 simultaneous Telethons.
Live Aid proved the power of music to bring the heartbeat of the world together in our shared humanity, to show we care. Something we desperately need now. If we can stand together now, in a shared resolve we can be such a powerful force for positive social change.
The real financial impact of Live Aid was their ability to spark world leaders and the private sector to step up commitments for more International Aid.
